Mirwana - The New Quranic Generation Remake 2005
The prophet said
You cannot turn to Allah
Or gain His love
With anything superior
Than reading the Quran
He also reminded us
I leave two advisors
One which speaks
And the other is silent
One which speaks
Is the Quran
One which is silent
Is remembrance of death
He also said
The best among you
Is he who learns the Quran
And teaches it
We are the best
Let us be the best
Let us be Men of Quran
You cannot turn to Allah
Or gain His love
With anything superior
Than reading the Quran
He also reminded us
I leave two advisors
One which speaks
And the other is silent
One which speaks
Is the Quran
One which is silent
Is remembrance of death
He also said
The best among you
Is he who learns the Quran
And teaches it
We are the best
Let us be the best
Let us be Men of Quran
Assalamualaikum warahmatullah.
A sister said to me :
If you want to see the establishment of an Islamic Country, then you must constitute it in your heart first.
Undoubtedly true.Coz the character of a country depends on the behaviour of its citizens.
Building an Islamic Country in your heart means following the teachings of al-Quran and Sunnah as a whole, not part by part. This is what Mirwana said : Be Men of Quran..and to achieve that title , means Quran and Sunnah do not merely present in your prayer or Dua or Saum ( Fasting ) or Zakat or al-Hajj or Zikr..
Islam should also present in our :
1 ) Eyes :
- Adoi, I just finished watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3 after the Killer Physical Pharmacy paper, still trapped in the created Legend of Jack Sparrow,The Charm of Will Turner, the myth of Davy Jones The Cuttlefish, the Violence of Becket..erk!!..( Is this a quranic eye ? )..and just finished downloading Shrek 3,hmm..
2 ) Ears :
- yeah I like Indonesian Nasheed but oups..! one of my favourite songs is also Pangeran Cinta by Dewa ( Rocks, huhu..), still fond of Malay Rock Legends in 1980's eg BPR,Lefthanded,Bloodshed...have and enjoy full collection of MLTR (Micheal Learns To Rock) best songs,.erk!..
3 ) Words : Do my words resemble me as a Muslim?
- An unforgettable story. At Sunway, I was discussing about choosing the right university with a classmate. She is a Christian, very strong Christian. While discussing about how to choose, unexpectedly I heard these beautiful words :
` I pray to God that He will help me in choosing the right place. I believe, He will choose the best for me'..
My face showed no reaction, as far as I remembered. But deep in my heart, I was shocked, with some elements of impression. Her faith is strongly instilled within each aspect of her life, such that she spontaneously expressed her confidence in God...AND I say spontaneous because we were not talking about praying or religion or other related topics,we just talked about universities!..She is really proud of her belief..and I think, that's why she managed to attract my two other classmates who were initially free-thinker, to become Christians...
Malu, sangat malu..coz I couldnt express that I'm proud of Islam as well,I didnt reply her words at that time, I just smiled and agreed..am I not a real Muslim yet, such that Allah did not inspire me to say similar words to her?..am I as secularist, such that I only talk about Islam when we discuss about religion and faith, but put Islam aside when discussing about universities? Are we so special, such that we only talk about Islam when we have camps, when we have kulliah, but we zip our mouth from Islam when we chat with our non-Muslim coursemates? or Even our tutors?..hmm..
Am I qualified to be a member of new quranic generation?
Are we?
Unless massive changes take place, a song will always be a song..
and am I ready for the massive change?..
Still, hard to forget JACK SPARROW.and Dewa.and Samsons.and Will Turner.
Till then.Full stop.
p/s : Still have one battle to go. Microbiology.I missed some of the lectures. Must study!!..
