A conversation with an atheist

Assalamualaikum...

Kutubad,PYY,and me were enjoying our lunch at Gemini after Douglas's lecture when we started to talk about the existence of God,The Creator,The Ruler..I'm not very sure how suddenly that topic arose,yet I'm confident that Kutubad initiated it,huhu..Salute to you Kutubad, you really prove what `Kutubad' is..:P..

* Dearest Kutubad,I have rearaanged the sequence if our conversation to make the flow smoother.

PYY,our coursemate admitted that he is an Atheist,not merely a free-thinker..so when speaking to him, throughout the conversation I always need to remind myself that he thinks about everything in the world based on science and logic..So,I need to follow his thought in order to change his perception about God..Yes,I may say that Islam teaches me this,Islam teaches is that,Allah is this,Allah is that..but what for?
I believe PYY would listen,try to understand,and might the explaination about Islam to be interesting,but most probably he wouldnt accept Islam to be true,coz his basic is : God does not exist,so how can he say Islam or Christianity or Buddhism or hinduism to be true??..Try to imagine yourself as a Muslim who hold firmly to al-Quran, when a Christian comes to you and starts a Bible story, you might stay to listen,to know,to understand,but not to accept,coz u strongly believe in al-Quran...so when speaking to PYY,me and Kutubad tried to make our conversation as scientific and logic as possible..

PPY said : I don't believe in God coz I don't feel,don't see its presence..well..PYY,don't u think that they must be someone who create us,our parents,our environments..we can't suddenly appear on earth,and appear for nothing except to grow,work,eat,sick,die,and eventually become dust in the grave..if that's is Y we are created,we have no difference from animals,whereas we believe that human is superior on animals..don't you think so PYY?..

wELL,me and Kutubad actually started with quite a vague statement..never mind,as this brought us to another chapter..

PYY : I come from my Parents,My Parents come from My grandparents,grandparents from greate grandaparents,and so forth..until u reach the first cell exist on the world..All of us are cells,and so,all of us must come from a cell,it's evolution beb..life starts with a cell that evolve by chance to produce numerous living forms that we have today..

Me and Kutubad : Well dOUBLE Y,at the first place,how can that first cell suddenly be there?..it's not coincide with principle of science that everyhing occurs by reason,by something..there must be something that allows the first cell to exist..and that must be the creator..

PYY : Remember Dr. Andrews said, No one know the origin of life,and if they say they know,means they fool on you..l,you see..that is what the present scientists reach to,we still don't know how can that cell exist,because we are of limited resources,technology,and researches..that thing happens billions of thousands years ago,and you just couldnt deduce that the cells come from God,for the time being you don't know..in far future perhaps scientists would find new facts about this cell,usually,that's how science develops..and now,no proof that God creates that cell,so better not to conclude..

That brough us to new chapter.It was getting interesting,I think our voices were quite loud since some customers at Gemini were looking at us..

My dearest PYY...ok,we don't know,fine..but you believe that the cell must come from something right?and that something must be so-so-so superior such that it is able to start the development of living forms that we have at present..or,if it is the cell that started it,don't you think that that first cell must be so-so powerful? it was able to choose which way it wanted to evolve to,that's amazing,superb,nothing controlled it..Not like us today,our cells controll something,yet they are also being controlled by another thing..but the first cell,it controlled its own evolution without being controlled,so it must be the Highest,The Creator,The Superpower..

Again,neither strong nor weak statement.Yet,we entered new chapter.

PYY : tHE first cell cannot be the God because it was subjected to its environment,to chemistry,physics,and biological laws and reactions..All these reactions controlled the cell..

Question : What determined that a reaction either inside our outside cells must occur in one particular way,and not in other ways?why if I burn a wood,why would it produce a flame,not water?

Sounds stupid..yet it's logic..

PYY : tHAT is science,and for the case of flame,that's thermodynamics..Scientist found the physic,chemistry,and biological laws via experiments..and these laws,such as the themodynamic law that control the first cell..you see,we learnt that organic molecules appear first before the cell..so it must be the reactions between these molecules that controlled the first cell,and the molecules react based on specific laws that they are entitled to..

Haha..we are entering sciece..science is always considered to logic,yet the origin of science itself is abstract..don't u readers think so?

aT the first place,how can scientist arrive at a law?How an scientists derive thermodynamic law?How can a theory be created and accepted?..Remember,theory comes from a proven hypothesis..hypothesis comes from an experiment,and experiment is started due to an inference,and inference comes from an OBSERVATION..Newton at Manchester saw the apple falling,that's y he deduced that there must a force attracting downwards,that's what we know as Gravity..let's say Newton saw that the apple was suddenly jumping upwards..logically,he would have deduced that there is a force acting upwards..right?..don't u ever think WHY THAT APPLE FALLING,NOT JUMPING UPWARDS?..WHY WHEN GALLILEO,IN HIS EXPERIMENT THREW AN OBJECT FROM THE LEANING TOWER OF PISA,WHY IT FELL DOWNWARDS,NOT FLYING UPWARDS?WHAT CONTROL THAT THE OBSERVED THING IS A, NOT B?...and back to the first cell,there are numerous ways that a cell can evolve to,WHY THE FIRST CELL EVOLVED IN A PARTICULAR WAY,NOT IN OTHER WAYS?..there must be something,that determines what we observed,what we see,..there must a very powerful controller that determines the route and the products of a reactions..we deduce scientific laws based on reactions that we observe,but at the first place,why the reactions are such that?......Dearest PYY,something should determine it,and that determiner must a very-very powerful superpower,superhero..and that must be our Controller,The God..

Our conversation stopped there.I have to meet a friend.But I think all of us were satisfied with have we discussed about..but I hope,PYY would continue thinking,and searching...

You see..I think for atheist..it's not that they cannot think about the origin of life..If I am an atheist and I just think alone,I would have fall into a deep confusion,severe headaches,kepeningan dan keserabutan..and i would choose not to think about this at all,I'll be sick to keep thinking...that's what we must do to atheist..we must help them in their thinking,in their journey of exploring the truth,we must help them so ease their confusions,to cure their headaches which paracetamol wouldnt be able to..either they will become a muslim or christ or hindu,that is another story...we must convince them about the existence of God first before guiding them to choose the right religion..because like what my teacher said :

`All religions teach good things.And if all human hold firmly on their religions,then the world would be a very safe place to live'..

TruE.No doubt.I have no doubt that Islam is the truth,but I'm also confident that a good Christ is a good friend.You too right?
